Pro bono services have been actively developing in Georgia during the last 5-7 years, especially after October 2015, when "Georgian Pro Bono Network" was established. The Network unites local and international organizations operating in Georgia and willing to use their expertise and professional resources for the public good.
"Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia " (CSRDG) - the initiator to create such Network – has since been carrying out its expert and administrative support.
Since the day of its founding, Georgian Pro Bono Network grew from 12 to 22 members.
In 2015, CSRDG also founded „Pro Bono Mediation Initiative in Georgia“, which is aimed at connecting Pro bono providers and beneficiary civil society organizations by the areas of expertise and needs, as well as facilitating the entire cycle of Pro bono services (from planning to results evaluations).

Georgian Bar Association is actively working for the development of Pro Bono services on legal issues. Association lawyers provide free (Pro bono) legal assistance to people with disabilities, palliative care patients, socially vulnerable single parents, and other disadvantaged and vulnerable groups and help them protect their rights. Legal services imply to consultations and representation in the court or other agencies.
