The Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia published Encyclopedic Dictionary of Corporate Social Responsibility. Author of the book is Lela Khoperia. The Dictionary is tailored to meet the needs of professionals, corporate practitioners, students and interested readers.
CSR is a rapidly growing trend in Georgia. More and more organizations are interested in this concept. However, Georgian CSR terminology is not sufficiently developed and there is still a lack of information about concept and standards of CSR and Sustainable Development. The dictionary was published with the aim to fill that gap.
The dictionary provides comprehensive and concise definitions and explanations to 166 key terms and concepts in Corporate Social Responsibility. The Annex contains brief and reliable overview of 55 international standards, guidelines, codes and principles relevant to CSR and sustainability, presented in alphabetic order.
Since 2004, CSRDG actively works to raise awareness in Georgia on corporate social responsibility. In frames of the Program for Promoting CSR, CSRDG has produced and published several books and researches, including: first Georgian textbook on CSR for higher educational institutions; comprehensive analytical research on “Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Sector’s Role” (analysis and recommendations for the Government of Georgia); Corporate Social Responsibility Toolkit for Small and Medium Companies etc.
The Dictionary was published in frames of the project “Georgian Civil Society Initiative” funded by European Union and Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS).
