In 2015, Sustainable Development Agenda for 2030 was passed at UN Summit, and 17 global goals (SDGs) were outlined. International community unanimously agrees that the business has a decisive role in achieving these goals. Therefore, the Stakeholders – investors, international organizations, Governments – expect that businesses will make their contribution into the accomplishment of SDGs. Sustainable development goals have become a vector for companies on how they should plan their CSR strategies in order to meet public expectations and achieve a competitive advantage.
At the same time, the numbers of market incentives for companies adhering to SDGs are increasing constantly.
Those companies that acknowledge challenges and opportunities related to sustainable development goals and effectively integrate SDGs into their business strategies possess a real competitive advantage and are able to improve their long-term financial performance.
