Transparency and accountability are integral parts of corporate social responsibility. Over the last several decades, corporate social responsibility reporting has become a widely spread practice around the world. Stakeholders – investors, the public, customers, employees, international organizations, and Governments – are more often requesting companies to reports on their social and environmental activities. A growing number of responsible investors and sustainability indexes refer to these reports for company evaluation. Currently, the volume of global assets managed by responsible investing principle exceeds 30 trillion USD.
About three quarters of large companies in the Eastern Europe publish their reports, while this figure is greater than 80% in the Western Europe. In Georgia, this kind of reporting is a relatively new practice and is becoming a rapidly growing trend.
The training is intended for companies that are willing to start their corporate responsibility reporting or have already started it, but would like to bring their CSR reports in line with international standards, and, this way, raise their company reputation, gain competitive advantage both on the Georgian and international markets, and publicly report about the benefit they bring to the society and the country.
